TODD RUNDGREN Touring History

This listing is an attempt to collect all known concert performances by Todd Rundgren. The data is derived from several different sources. Please keep in mind that when researching this data, I have in many places come across conflicting data, especially when looking for performances from the 1970s. Not all dates may be correct. Advance tour itineraries in publications such as Circular, Circus and Rolling Stone have often been found to be incorrect. But when no other concrete information is available, I have included the information from these publications.

Although my own research has turned up large amounts of information, this site would not have nearly as much information as it does without the contributions of many wonderful Rundgren fans. Very special thanks go to Karl Speck, Frank Bubnick, Beth Barber and Jeffrey Martin all of whom have made very sizeable contributions to this site. Also to Roger Linder's Todd Rundgren Connection web site which has provided a wealth of information. And of course to Billy James for his wonderful book A Dream Goes on Forever: The Continuing Story of Todd Rundgren. This book is a must read for all Todd fans. You can order a copy directly from the publisher.

This site was last updated on July 26, 2011. Special thanks to Karl Speck, Beth Barber, Al Cannon, Terry Gallagher, Mike Pentz, John McGarry, Bob Garbarini, John Johnson, Michael Tuczynski, and Dee for this latest batch of information.

Were you at a Todd concert that you don't see listed here? E-mail me at badge16ctATyahooDOTcom and I'll add it to the list.

As of yet, I have not been able to find any additional information on this tour. However, a November 1, 1980 article in Billboard magazine quotes Todd's manager, Eric Gardner, saying that a full tour to promote Deface the Music would not occur due to each band member having other commitments. The nationwide radio broadcast of the Halloween concert in Passaic would serve as a substitue for a tour.)
