Listen to a clip now!

I went to work last Tuesday
Where I nearly punched the clock
My boss is standing there
Waiting for me on the loading dock
He goes “You’re late again my friend”
You know and now he’s all red-faced
And he says “Ain’t you heard that time is money
And you can be replaced” Jerk!

Chorus:
And I said:
No, time is not money
And money is not time
The thing is you can hang on to your money
But you know you’re always spending time

I had this friend who just gave me his pocket watch
But the face… told me his truth
Which was that his pension and all his possessions
Could not get him back his youth
He had this nervous tick, but it was justified
As he approached, you know, “his date”
You might say that he went early
But he is forever late

Anyway, the point of this whole thing is that
The countdown to mortality
Is ticking like a bomb
And the reaper is just as grim
Be you a murderer or Mom
So grab that precious moment right now
And every single time you can
‘Cause you’ll never cheat the family plot
No matter what your plan

Well they say that time is money
I know no greater myth
‘Cause money has no value
Without time to spend it with

Chorus
And folks, you’ve got nothing, really, to spend…
But time
